Black Lives Matter

To all those that are opposing and belittling the Black Lives Matter movement I sincerely hope one day you experience loss at such a caliber, I hope you too are told that your life is worth less than a common animal, that's right a police dog has received more justice than all the black victims of police brutality combined. Let that sink in before you start spewing garbage about "It's not about race".
Of course all lives matter but that isn't the focus right now, because not all lives are in danger of being lost every 8 hours for doing so much as breathing! We're the ones facing systematic and institutionalized racism day to day, in the workplace, in schools, out in the streets, everywhere we go as a people we face anti-blackness. Open your eyes! this isn't the oppression Olympics, get a grip. BLACK LIVES MATTER.

Light skin, Dark skin; It's all Black skin.

People often fantasize the idea of having mixed children, you want the green eyes, loose 3b curls, and fair caramel skin but what happens when your child comes out a beautiful melanin rich angel with kinky 4c hair and warm brown eyes?
I believe we; black folk have been brainwashed into believing that "white is right", often times we seek out and praise aspects of "whiteness", whether that be our hair curl pattern, nose shape, skin complexion, you name it or even our other halves. By that last part I'm referring to certain black men out there that specifically state that they "don't date dark skin women", "light skin girls are prettier" or "I need to find myself a nice redbone". It's a dangerous thing to further separate ourselves especially in a world where we face anti-blackness everywhere we go.
This constant bashing of the melanin rich black woman leads to self-hate and subsequently black sisters (some, not all) begin relaxing their hair, bleaching their skin in a bid to achieve a "European standard of beauty" in order to be seen as desirable.

Returning back to my point about mixed race children and the almost disturbing obsession with them, It seems that more often than non if a mixed race child does not possess ALL the stereotypical "mixed race features" i.e fair skin, loose curls, etc. the interest in said child almost diminishes entirely, this is the sick reality of it all. This isn't build-a-bear workshop, black comes in every shade from albino to very dark brown, that's the beauty of melanin. The same goes for hair pattern, a beautiful dark skinned black woman can have natural 3b curls in her hair (without having white blood, yes black people CAN have loose curls or even straight hair because these hair types are not exclusive to the white race), the same way an equally beautiful mixed race or light skinned black woman can have 4c hair. Essentially what I'm trying to get at is that colorism is extremely damaging within the black community, people don't want to acknowledge its existence either and whenever a person does they are labelled a "bitter dark skin" when that isn't the case at all. I myself am (if you want to put a label on it) what you would call "brown skinned", I have love for both my dark skinned  and light skinned brothers and sisters, we have bigger fish to fry rather than hating on each others complexion with "team light skin" or "team dark skin", at the end of the day; light skin, dark skin, it's all black skin, as a black person how light your skin is doesn't stop a cop from gunning you down (among other things) thanks to systematic and institutionalized racism.

Educating White People on Saying 'The N Word'

Good Afternoon, good morning, good evening. Wherever you are located, whatever the time of day is, I would like to educate white people on the significance of saying the word Nigger. You should not want to or need to say Nigger, it is not your place. I'm seeing too many white people (and occasionally non-black POC) using it amongst themselves and throwing the word around aimlessly, I do not care if it doesn't have an aggressive undertone, DO NOT USE IT. The same word that you used as a slur to dehumanize us when you OWNED us and considered us less than 3/4 of a human being (just a little reminder) has been reclaimed by us for us, the oppressed have turned it into a form of empowerment, therefore there is no need for you to be fighting so viciously to have the right to use the word.

"But if rappers can say it why can't I" BOO HOO, cry me a river from Los Angeles to the shores of Japan, this is a clear example of how white people don't like to be excluded, you don't want anyone else to have anything if you can't be involved (cultural appropriation, will be doing a post on this soon). We've flipped it and reversed it so enough with the privileged white tears, if you like you can kindly direct yourselves to the sink where it'll happily collect.
